We are proud to announce that Achielle has won the Made in West-Flanders Award 2025.
From a longlist of twenty companies, and later a shortlist of five finalists, the jury selected the Achielle bicycle as the winner.
With this, the family-owned company from Pittem succeeds none other than Jules Destrooper, last year’s laureate.
The award recognizes businesses that excel in local roots, craftsmanship, quality, and innovation.
At the ceremony in Merksplas, Achielle was announced as the winner for West-Flanders.
”Achielle is a textbook example of Belgian craftsmanship. In a world dominated by mass production, this family company continues to build every bicycle from A to Z in its own workshop — locally, with care, and with a clear aesthetic vision. The jury particularly appreciated the combination of tradition, quality, and international appeal. An Achielle bike is not only beautiful to look at; it also symbolizes the strength of West Flanders’ manufacturing industry: pure, reliable, and timeless.”

“This award is not only a recognition of our craftsmanship, but also for everyone who helps carry the Achielle story — our dedicated team, our dealers, and the many Achielle riders and fans.”
— Tom Oosterlinck
A recognition for three generations of craftsmanship
This victory is a major acknowledgement of what has made Achielle unique for generations: handcrafted production from A to Z in its own workshop.
From frame building and painting to final assembly, every Achielle bike is created in Pittem — with attention to detail, durability, and timeless design.
“This award is an incredible honour for us,” says Jan Oosterlinck. “We are a small team with a big passion for our craft. To see that recognized means a great deal to us.”
